Anita Costa vs Brother Leo
After an purposefully concocted controversy, produced by the Brazilian government, over wardrobe malfunctions at the Olympics resulted in Anita Costa being barred from professionally playing vollyball, she is invited to work for the ABIN as a spy and trained in supernatural-level street fighting. Soon after her expensive training, she receives a package from her handlers which contains an invitation to the secret Guild tournament, order to participate from her government, and a Guild tracker pointing to Cape Town, South Africa. After Confirming everything with her handlers, a flight is arranged and she flies to Cape Town.
Meanwhile, Brother Leo is in a cheap motel on a $3,000 laptop looking for vintage leather jackets on South African auction site bidorbuy. He is oblivious to Anita’s search for him, only thinking about revenge and looking cool. Anita is led to the hotel by her tracker and starts knocking on doors. After encountering and signing autographs for a grandma, some kids, and a large drunk, Anita task one of her groupie minions with keeping them away while she knocks on Leo’s door. Obviously annoyed and suspicious of Anita, the two talk past each other: Anita asking if Leo is a fighter and Leo asking who Anita is working for without understanding when she says “Bahia!”
Finally sure Leo is the fighter she is looking for, Anita rushes through the door but is clotheslined by Leo. The find rages on as the fight make their way out of the room and to the first floor. Anita is brutally hit repeatedly Leo, who assumes she is an assassin. However, she keeps herself conscious through it all and eventually knocks Leo out (on his first health stock roll). With her first opponent defeated, Anita notices beeping noise and a number appearing on her tracker taking note of the battle. Tired and beaten, she decides to make use of Leo’s room and take a shower.
Fifteen minutes later, Leo wakes up annoyed about how easily he passes out and returns to his room right as Anita finishes getting dress. Still alive and less suspicious because of it, he listens to Anita as she explains why she attacked him. Accepting the explanation, he leaves shortly after to pick up a package from the front office. It contains an invitation and tracker identical to Anita but also has a hand-written letter claiming that the tracker will lead him to the people responsible for his siblings deaths. He returns to his room and tells Anita about his quest for revenge. Finding him “interesting,” Anita nicknames him “Frenchy” (after his smoking habit) and decides to follow him. Especially since it will likely lead to more fights.
Brother Leo vs Retsilisitsoe Nthunya
Following the tracker that Leo received, the two fighters heads towards Lesotho in a new Jeep. During the two and a half day trip east, the two pass through much of South Africa and urban Lesotho, seeing much poverty, and eventual find themselves in an uninhabited area in front of a cave. The tracker seems to be point into the cave even though that should be very difficult for GPS. Leo eventually enters the cave and uses his expensive phone’s flashlight app to look around.
In the back of the cave, Leo finds a robed man and tell him “Fate has brought them together,” to which the man responds “Fate decrees all.” Leo asks about his brother and the man claims that the sibling was a “blight upon the land.” Knowing that the hermit has something to do with his brother’s death, the two fight. While beating the hermit, Leo is told that his brother harmed many people and had to be stopped.
Leo eventually beats the man to the point that he goes limp and drags the injured hermit outside. While being dragged, the hermit claims Leo’s brother can to him for magical healing from AIDs and was cured. However, he kept coming back after getting infected and the hermit eventual decided he had to “destroy the walking STD to protect the people.”
Regardless, Leo gets his revenge and beats the man to an inch of his life before abandoning him near an unopened beeping Guild package. One of Anita’s minions tends to the hermit’s injuries while Anita looks at her tracker. It shows an opponent making their way towards their position.
Anita Costa vs Kim Sul Song
Knowing that her opponent is coming, Anita calls in some fans to set up a regulation volleyball court on some the loose dusty soil that is almost like sand. Finished, her fan go about playing some two on two games while Leo and Anita watch and relax. They camp out for the night, somehow able to ignore the beaten hermit nearby.
Early the next day, a military off-road video arrives carrying North Korean propaganda minister Kim Sul Song and a retinue of soldiers. The North Korean minions start setting up camera equipment while Anita’s minions remove the volleyball net to covert the court into a makeshift arena. Sul Song approaches Anita and curtly asks if she is the one she has to fight. After a confirmation, Sul Song asks Anita to sign a release, which Anita defers to her lawyers. Sul Song promises to due so and, without another world, moves to the other side of the arena to start the fight.
The two trade blows, Anita fighting with golden energy and Sul Song breathing fire. Throughout, Sul Song has difficulty hitting Anita when she is guarding until she gets the pattern of Reed in the Wind Down. Eventually, she hits the Brazilian straight in the face and causes her to pass out from lack of oxygen. A North Korean medic approach Anita for a picture perfect moment of their military showing compassion to their weakened enemies but one of Anita’s minions comes and fights him off so that she can heal her personally.
As quickly as they came, the North Koreans leave after packing up their equipment. Seeing a signal on his tracker in nearby (relatively) Swaziland, Leo starts to prepare a space for Anita in truck’s backseat. When she finally comes to, Leo has packed everything and the two are ready to go.
Brother Leo vs Princess Pashu
Making their way further east, the two return to South Africa and finally make their way into Swaziland. Brother Leo’s tracker leads to the front gates to one of the Swazi royal family’s palaces. Leo asks one of the traditionally attired guards if they can enter and, after a pit of radio chatter, Leo and Anita are led in by the guard.
Inside they find a lavishly decorated western-style ballroom decorated with traditional Swazi art, a long side table with a selection of meat and lentils, and two tables for supporters to sit at. At the table on the far side of the room are a handful of 20-something Swazi women waiting for the fight to begging. Leo stands in wait in the middle of the room while Anita goes to the supporter’s table.
After about ten minutes, the fighter finally comes out. Princess Sikhanyiso Dlamini, known colloquially as Pashu, enters the stage in a modified ceremonial dress and speaks to Brother Leo. However, her speech is so inane and valley girl is that he can get a straight answer about her involvement in his brother dead. He gather that it had something to do with an attempted coup but not much else. Realizing she won’t stop talking until they start fighting, Leo rushes her with a powerbomb attack.
The battle rips apart the room as Leo uses his heaviest attacks and Pashu uses magical earth attack that rise through the floor. Throughout it though, Pashu retains the advantage by constantly defeating Leo’s attacks and doing heavy damage. She finishes the battle by throwing Leo at her own table of Swazi supporters. To the defeated Leo she simply and condescendingly says, “I don’t get why you even came here.”
Anita Costa vs Princess Pashu
Offended at the lack of respect towards her new friend, Anita calls out Pashu and the two fight. An easy target after using her power against Leo, the Swazi princess is quickly defeated by Anita. As Brother Leo comes to, he asks “Did I get her?” to which Anita respond, “You put up a good fight.”
The two are led out of the palace as they notice that Anita’s tracker has a target off the continent in England. Quite ready to leave Africa after traveling from one coast to the other, Leo arranges for first class plane tickets to London.
Anita Costa vs Sunny
In Heathrow Airport, a young East Asian woman looks over Anita’s shoulder and get excited that someone else on the same flight will be “going to the Sunny concert.” Anita give the young woman an odd look and says that the dot on the trackers map is actually the location of a fighter. The woman helpfully points to a map and shows that the dot matches up with a popular concert venue. Anita, still not getting it, tells the young woman that she “just doesn’t get it.” Puzzled and a little irritated, the young woman walks away while Anita says, “It’s a very complicated technology,” to which the woman responds under her breath, “I have an M.A. in Computer Science!”
Leo get the two back on the travel, hiring a red double-decker bus to take them to the concert venue headlining “Sunny.” They only make one stop to buy alternate outfits, a Union Jack two-piece swimsuit and a leather jacket with the Union Jack on the back. Once there, Anita decides to stay outside until the fighter makes an appearance and even starts having minions set up a volleyball court in the parking lot. However, a producer for the performer comes out and invites Anita to take part in the concert, even offering to incorporate the volleyball court into one of the sets. Anita agrees and is given a room to wait in until its time to head to the stage, though she refuses any make up or other preparations. When she is told to get on stage in four minutes, Anita arrive just off stage a few moments early and violent throws a volleyball at the pop star who is to be her opponent. Sunny, who’s real name is Kim Sun Ye, catches the ball and tell the audience “It’s time for a special treat, a game with a friend.”
As the two fight on a faux beach volleyball court setup on stage, Sunny continues to sing her set despite getting hit repeatedly by Anita’s fists and lighting equipment the Brazilian utilizes for makeshift bludgeons. While Sunny seems to largely hold her own through the fight with Water Dragon techniques drawing from a near by pool, Anita grabs a row of stage lights, charges them with energy, and slams them down on the singer just as she is stagger. Seeing their idol beaten and possibly electrocuted by the lighting, the crowd starts getting nervous as they realize what they witnessed may not have been a stage trick. Before they can riot, Anita leaves quietly. She only stops to drain the pool that Sunny was using to fuel her attacks. Needless to say, Sunny did not finish her song.
Brother Leo vs Wilhelmina Friso
Among the increasingly riotous audience, Brother Leo’s shoulder is tapped as someone calls him by his brother’s name. Leo turns around and sees a primly dressed Dutch woman who breaths a sign of relief. Leo angrily demands to know what to woman knows about his dead brother. She laughs casual and says that the had “that deadbeat taken care of.” Enraged further, Leo attacks her brutally by repeatedly knocking her down when she attempts to use Air Dragon techniques. She is beaten so badly that her clothes are ripped, the prim appearance is ruin, and by all rights should not have been standing. However, she gets a few lucky hits on Leo’s glass jaw and knocks him out. However, she is taken down by the now rioting crowd which was only further scared by their fight. As the crowd runs out of the venue, the two fighters are kicked to the side like trash along the highway.
Outside, Anita waits for her friend assuming that the riot was caused by him getting into a fight. As news crews arrive, they seem oddly disinterested in the semi-famous Brazilian despite her very clearly being involved. Most seem to be reporting that the riot and Sunny’s wounds were cause by a botched stage trick. Eventually ambulances arrive and EMTs place Sunny, Wilhelmina, and Leo on stretchers. Leo wakes up and gets off the stretcher largely uninjured. While annoyed at his sore jaw and tendency to a knocked out easily, he is glad that fate some how insured that his brother’s killed received a severe beating and was knocked out. Additionally, Leo’s tracker register’s a loss even though Wilhelmina was not listed as his target on his tracker.
Brother Leo vs Dan Presley
Brother Leo and Anita head to a campy 60s diner to recover with some comfort food. Anita seeks to cheer up Leo, so she approaches an Elvis impersonator hires him to deliver an envelope to Leo “with some attitude.” The letter contains a note with the words “I killed your brother” clearly written but Anita doesn’t tell the impersonator this. She hopes going off on this regular person and soundly beating him will cheer up Leo.
Her plan goes off without a hitch as Leo quickly beats knocks out the fake cowardly Elvis, though the win doesn’t register on his tracker. Noting that Anita has a target located in Egypt, the two decide to take plane out of Europe with the added bonus of skipping out on the police if they do decide to look for them after their view public fights.
Brother Leo vs Kamal Majirif
After arriving in Egypt, the duo check some maps and find that the opponent seems to be located out in an uninhabited part of the desert. They hire a camel caravan and start out on their journey.
Seeking to cheer up Leo again, Anita has a stable hand place a sign on the slowest camel that read “I killed your brother.” Again, Leo becomes angry and attacks the animal. However, the beast shifts forms to become some sort of Camel-Man and asks Leo is he really desires to fight. Leo affirms that he will not back down and proceeds to thoroughly beat the were-dromedary. As the okami shifts into human form, Leo clotheslines him into the ground. Like the faux Elvis, the win doesn’t register on his tracker. After the tussle, the leader of the caravan comments in Arabic that he “never trusted that swarmy animal” and shrugs as the group continues on their path.
Anita Costa vs Marceline Abadiir
Arriving at their destination, the duo find a strange pyramid that is a mix of ancient and modern architecture with the sound of rock music coming emanating from within. The two enter and find a pale floating woman on stage performing for what appear to be a group of gothic-themed yokai. Anita decides to wait for the band to finish their set but they keep playing for over 32 hours. A bit fed up, she asks a spectator at a snack table when band is going to finish. The goth yokai responds in broken speech that they will finish when they feel tired.
After another day, the band yells over the microphone that they’re taking five. Anita approaches the lead singer, who the tracker points to, and says they need to fight because the dot on the screen points to her. The woman bits the tracker and somehow changes the dot from red to white. After this, she says that they don’t have to fight anymore cause the dot is white which means she is good. Confused, Anita calls her handlers who quiz her on the situation and instruct her to fight the red-drinkning swimmer.
Anita approaches the woman again and, after a number of illogical and half-assed attempts to socially avoid the inevitable, the annoyed singer agrees to combat.
Anita and the woman clash repeatedly, though Anita find many of her attacks easily countered. Eventually, Anita is worn down and the woman knocks her out with a devastating strike.
